Who we are
The data controller is H2Code, VAT IT15572751004, Via del Pigneto, 00176 Rome, Italy. For anything about your data write to support@barmarcello.com.
In short
- There is no account: we never ask for your name, email or password.
- Your game progress and settings stay on your phone (or in your browser) and never reach us.
- The iPhone and Android apps are free and show ads from Google AdMob. Personalised ads only with your consent.
- The web version of the game has no ads and sends no data anywhere.
The game on your phone
Days played, takings, regulars, furniture and settings are saved only in the app's storage on your phone. We do not receive or see them. They are deleted when you uninstall the game or with "Erase progress" in Settings.
Ads
The game is paid for by ads from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). There are two kinds: the one you choose to watch at the end of a day to double the day's takings in the game, and a full-screen ad at most every three game days, never while you are serving customers.
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google processes data from your phone, for example:
- your phone's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, advertising ID on Android), if you allow it;
- your IP address and the approximate location it reveals;
- phone model, operating system, language, app version;
- the ads you see and the ones you tap.
Consent. In Europe, the first time you open the game it shows Google's consent form: you can accept, refuse or pick single purposes. On iPhone, Apple then asks whether you allow tracking: if you say no, the advertising identifier is not used. Without consent ads may still appear, but not personalised. You can change your mind at any time from Settings › Ad privacy choices in the game.
Legal basis: your consent for personalised ads and for the use of the device identifier (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); for non-personalised ads, measurement and fraud prevention, our legitimate interest in keeping the game free. For the data it collects, Google acts under its own policy:how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Google may transfer data outside the European Union, to the United States, where it takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
From AdMob we only receive totals (how many ads, how much they earn), never data that identifies you.
The web version
The game in the browser has no ads. Progress and settings stay in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent to any server. To work offline, the game keeps a copy of its own files in the browser cache.
This website
barmarcello.com uses no cookies or analytics and loads no third-party services: fonts and images come from our own server in Italy. Like every website, the server logs the IP address and the requested page in its technical logs, for security.
Children
The game is not designed for children. In Italy, consent to personalised ads must be given by a parent under the age of 14; without it, choose "do not consent" and ads stay non-personalised.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, receive a copy or object to processing based on legitimate interest. We do not keep data that identifies you, though: for the data Google processes for ads, besides the form in the game, Google's own tools apply. You can withdraw consent at any time from the game's Settings, without affecting what happened before. Write to support@barmarcello.com: we reply within a month. You can also contact the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
